Community Involvement

YWCA Hamilton is committed to providing leadership and support locally and encouraging and supporting community participation in the identification and solution of community issues and needs. The YWCA's leadership and support is generally provided in collaboration with other community organizations, and focuses on issues related to the YWCA's mission and/or vision.

The YWCA Hamilton's community development roles include: community education, advocacy, community organization, local development and the provision of direct programs and services. The YWCA Hamilton maintains ongoing relationships and works collaboratively with over 100 community organizations and agencies in Hamilton.
