Come Come and learn valuable life long water safety and rescue skill through our Advance Aquatic program offerings:
RED CROSS WATER SAFETY INSTRUCTORS AND LIFESAVING SOCIETY INSTRUCTOR AND SWIM INSTRUCTORS (TRI CERTIFICATION)
This course is 3 certifications in one course. Red Cross and 2 Lifesaving Society Instructor courses will be completed. Upon course completion, you will be able to teach Red Cross Swim programs, LSSC Swimmers program, Swim Patrol and all Bronze levels. Learn the programs and how to teach them. Experience teaching hours are also required during the course.

Prerequisites: Must be 16 years of age, Red Cross AWSI - assistance water safety instructor and Bronze Cross
WaterSafety Instructor Transfer/ Splashback Course: Do you currently have an Instructor qualification through YMCA, LSSC or equivalant and need your Red Cross Water Safety Instructors qualificaiton still? This course is what you need to take. If you have 1 year experience teaching swimming lessons with a different qualification than you can take this course! Splashback is for anyone who's certification has been expiried for more than 5 years and wants to get certified again. Must register by Oct 25, 2011

Bronze Medallion & Emergency First Aid: Prerequisites for this course is completion of Bronze Star or must be 13 years old. This is the 2nd Bronze level toward getting your Lifeguarding award. You will complete land and pool portions in this course with a pool exam at the end of course.

SWIM PATROL: If your child is under the age of 12 and has completed all 10 levels of the Red Cross Swim Kids program then this is the next step for them. There are 3 levels to progress through and each level has 3 prerequistes to complete!
Rookie (Level 1), Ranger (level 2), Star (level 3): Each level must complete 3 areas ( First Aid, H2O Proficiency & Rescue) in order to receive the seals and badge!

AWSI- RED CROSS Assistant Water Safety Instructors Course
Must be 15 years of age and complete Level 10 Red Cross Swim or Swimmer 6 LSSC program. This course is a pre-requsite for the Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Course (WSI) the final step to becoming a swimming instructor. Volunteer teaching experience hours are manditory in this course and will be above and beyond the course time.
Date: February 5 to March 11 (every Sunday for 5 weeks) no class on Feb 19th for long weekend.

NLS & SFA COURSE: Prerequisites for this course is 16yrs +, Bronze Cross (Bronze cross award need not be current). This combined course includes NLS and Standard First Aid with CPR-C. The course will be held over 5 Saturday's; 100% participation and attendance is required. This is the only recognized lifeguarding award. Learn the skills and knowledge required to lifeguard in a pool setting.
