Check out some of our great Girls’ Only programs!
YWCA Hamilton offers some amazing programs for girls 9-14 years old. These programs range from activity-based to curriculum-based as well as health and fitness-focused.
MacNab Street Location
Girls Night-In (Ages 9-14): Looking for some Friday night fun? Girls aged 9-14 can come to the YWCA for an awesome night of games, swimming, movies, hanging out in the girls lounge and more!
GirlSpace (Ages 9-14): This program is designed to motivate and encourage young women. Activities include body image workshops, media awareness and healthy relationship building. Learn something new and hang out with your friends.
Ottawa Street Location
The newest of our great girls only programs, our camp will teach you how to be a great leader, while
developing awesome communication skills. If you attend for the whole week, you will also complete
the Red Cross Babysitter Certification. March 15th -19th.

2nd and 4th Friday of each month.
Active Girls (FREE; Ages 9-14 years): Learn a new sport like Ultimate Frisbee or Waterpolo. Break a
sweat in the fitness centre and find out about the importance of healthy living and being active.

Red Cross Babysitter Training (ages 10 and up):This 8 hour course combines child behavior, problem solving, dealing with emergencies and First Aid. The Red Cross Babysitter Award is issued on completion. $64 (includes manual) * Bring a Lunch.
March 16th and 17th – 9:30am-2:00pm (mustattend all classes
Teen Mom Drop – In: This program provides the opportunity for teen moms to socialize with other
teen moms in the community. Includes cooking, crafts, a clothing exchange, a play area for children
and healthy snacks. The program is made possible through support from the Hamilton Community
Foundation and St. Alban’s Church.
