Women's Housing

 

YWCA Hamilton provides a safe, supportive transitional living program for women. The objective of the program is to assist single women in transition are prepared to make positive changes in their lives by means of setting and achieving short and long-term goals, including establishing themselves in more independent living in the community.
 
The safe community and qualified staff assist residents in gaining new skills and confidence. Support workers are able to equip residents with referrals to numerous community supports and services, some of which operate onsite such as the Sexual Assault Centre (SACHA), Hamilton Literacy Council, YWCA Hamilton Health and Recreation and Employment Services and a full service café that serves healthy and reasonably priced meals and snacks.
