Employment Services

New to Canada? We can help!

We recognize that newcomer women, youth and gender-diverse folks face additional barriers in finding employment and re-establishing their careers when they settle in Canada.

Our FREE employment and training programs support you in becoming independent and effective in your employment journey. By joining us, you will gain the skills, confidence and experience required to find a job or move on to further training. Through combinations of one on one counselling, group workshops, employer connections, job fairs and networking opportunities, you will gain enhanced employment-related skills and access to the Canadian labour market.

Our services are available online, in person, and over the phone. Call or email us to book an online or in-person appointment with our staff.

Individual Counselling Services for Women, Youth and 2SLGBTQ+ Youth

Join us to experience individual employment support through one-on-one counselling sessions with a female Employment Counsellor to aid successful job search including career exploration, job search tools and individual needs assessment to increase chances of obtaining and maintaining employment. Referrals may be made to other programs and service providers to assist clients in meeting their employment goals. Our counsellors also help our clients to identify their strengths and address challenges that they may face when seeking to enter or re-enter the workforce.

Our staff speaks the following languages:

English, Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, Arabic, Spanish, Somali.

Women Employment Workshops

Join us to access the training you need to gain and maintain employment. Multilingual Female Employment Counsellors are available to provide services in different languages. Our training workshops will focus on workplace culture in Canada, customer service, communication, career cruising, resume and cover letter writing, interviewing skills and effective job search tools. We offer morning, afternoon and evening workshops that customized for you!

Youth Employment and Life Skill Workshops

Join us to engage in workshop, skill development and learning opportunities centered on various topics inspired by newcomer youth. Topics may include creating safe spaces online through digital literacy, developing online portfolios, applying for grants and scholarships, and image and presentation, etc.

Job Fairs

Join us to broaden your networks, make new connections and find a lead that could take your career or job search to the next level. Through our job fairs, we will provide you with networking opportunities that brings together local employers and job seekers. Your next job is just one click away!

Enhanced Supports
