Upcoming Workshop:
Digital Cashier Training | Point of Sale (POS)

For Women-identifying Newcomers | Free of Cost

Every Wednesday
9:30 AM - 12:30 PM

Learn the most up-to-date POS Cash Register system using the latest digital technology and improve your employability in the hospitality and retail industries. In this training you will:

  • Receive a combination of POS training; online and in-person
  • Receive hands-on practice operating a Point of Sale cash register
  • Learn how to process regular sales, scanning, applying discounts, clearance sale items are returns
  • Master the language needed to be successful in a sales position
  • Have your retail and employment-related questions answered
  • Receive customer service training
  • Receive a certificate of achievement after training completion

Please register early, space is limited due to physical distancing guidelines. To make training accessible, we also provide enhanced support services including childcare, interpretation, and transportation.

To register, participants must:

  • identify as young women, 2SLGBTQIA+ or non-binary between the age of 15-24;
  • be a Permanent Resident, Protected Person/Convention Refugee or a Live-in Caregiver with an
    approved work permit
