| This session will discus how newcomer parents could help their children during the school year especially if they have never attended school before. The session will provide information about: – How parents help their children get ready for school. – Daily life at school (daily Attendance, being late or absent, and school closures) – Communication between families and schools, Open House, and Parent-Teacher Interviews. – How parents can help with children’s learning and schoolwork. – How parents support their children when feeling anxious, being bullied or harassed by another student, or making new friends.
