The Newcomer Employment Readiness Program is an 11-week, hands-on program designed specifically for newcomer women and gender-diverse individuals who are ready to gain Canadian job skills, earn certifications, and build confidence in the workplace.
Point of Sale Digital Cashier (Certificate):
This session trains participants to operate digital cash register systems, manage customer transactions, and develop essential retail skills. A certificate is awarded upon completion.
Job Fair Preparation:
Participants will learn how to create effective resumes, practice professional introductions, and build confidence to engage with employers and make a strong impression at job fairs.
Knowing Your Paystub:
This session helps participants understand how to read a standard paystub, including deductions, taxes, and net pay, so they can better manage their finances.
