The Climate Crisis and Workers – Present & Future
Join Environment Hamilton and Solidarity Place, in collaboration with YWCA Hamilton for a public Town Hall exploring key issues at the intersection of labour and the environment through a local lens. This event, part of the Sustainable, Resilient, Communities Initiatve will highlight how the climate crisis impacts workers today, the adaptations needed for the future, and practical steps communities can take to influence local decision-making.

City Budget Delegation 101
Join Environment Hamilton in collaboration with YWCA Hamilton and partners, for a public workshop on how to delegate at the City of Hamilton. This session is for residents who want to make their voices heard at City Council and committees.
This workshop is part of the Sustainable, Resilient, Communities Initiative. You will gain hands-on tools and practical strategies to prepare and deliver effective delegations, to ultimately influence decisions that affect you and your community.

Lunch & Learn: How Hamilton’s City Budgets Are Made
Join Sisters in Sync and Refuge Newcomer Health for a Lunch & Learn to explore how Hamilton’s city budgets are made, take a tour of City Hall to see where decisions happen, and learn how residents can influence local priorities.
This event is part of the Sustainable, Resilient, Communities Initiative (SRCI) and will give participants a hands-on understanding of municipal budgeting while connecting them with local experts, city staff, and community members.
This event is free and open to the public. Lunch will be provided.

Join us for a virtual session exploring how applying a gender lens to municipal budgets can support more equitable decision-making. Part of the Sustainable, Resilient Communities Initiative (SRCI), this session will feature lessons from other municipalities, along with reflections on what’s possible in Hamilton.
