Corporate Involvement

Corporate Involvement

Now, more than ever, citizens are looking to the business world to identify and align with causes that create real change, and make our society a better place to live. Making a corporate donation or involving work workplace in a way that is meaningful is a simple way to have a deep impact in the lives of women, girls and families in our community.

Consider one of the following ways that your company or employees can support YWCA Hamilton:

Corporate Donations

Make a general or designated charitable donation to YWCA Hamilton and receive a charitable tax receipt for gifts of $20 or more. Gifts of $500 or more are recognized annually in our annual Impact Report.

Charitable tax receipts are not issued for sponsorship support as your company will receive acknowledgement through tailored marketing and communications incentives.

Tag or Awareness Campaigns

Does your company have a storefront or staff who interact directly with the public? Consider hosting a tag or awareness campaign to help YWCA Hamilton raise funds and awareness about critical issues facing women and girls in Hamilton.

What is a tag campaign? A tag campaign is a local fundraiser whereby a company provides items for sale in support of YWCA Hamilton or dedicates a percentage of sales, etc. in support of YWCA.

For example: At the checkout, a customer is asked if they would like to donate $2 to provide a safe home for a woman and her child fleeing domestic violence. If the customer agrees, the customer may write their name on collateral and it is posted within the storefront.

What is an awareness campaign? An awareness campaign is an initiative whereby a company partners with YWCA Hamilton to provide space to communicate timely initiatives as identified by YWCA and the company.

For example: November 25 is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and your local branch would like to tell the community that violence against women is not okay. By partnering with YWCA Hamilton, we’ll provide you with communication materials and a call to action to engage your customers and employees.
