Mom,
Thank you for being strong. For putting aside your own grief to help me through mine. For taking on the role of single mother so seamlessly. Because you know what it feels like to lose your dad young, too. Because you know what I needed to hear to be resilient like you.
I’m so glad to be able to tell you how grateful I am. To take a step back from the rushing around of a stressful day and just pause and enjoy the people in my life. Why wouldn’t you tell someone that you’re grateful for them? They need to hear it. Even if you show it in acts of love, sometimes you need to hear things out loud. Thank you, Mom.
(Anne Marie and Caitlin Collingwood)
We’ve all been supported by someone who has helped put our pieces back together. Like
my mom – she’s the one who keeps me going. Who keeps you going?
Thank her now.
