I was silent for too long. I lived the first 60 years of my life with violence. In 2011, I was blessed to be accepted at Halton Women’s Place, a crisis shelter. My time was running short and I did not where I would go. The shelter staff set up an appointment for me at Phoenix Place which I attended. I knew that I had aced the interview, but I had a one-month wait to move in. I then lived at Phoenix Place for 15 months. I have remained an outreach client on and off for almost 7 years. I graduated from a public speaking program in 2014, joined the survivors group of WAWG and share my story publicly as much as possible. And life goes on! -Molly
