Acknowledging and Honouring Our Past Nominated Women of Distinction
Women’s organizations in Hamilton with the organizers of last year’s Women’s March invite you to mark the first anniversary of the Women’s March Movement with something reflective and practical: an indoor summit intended to engage more women and non-binary people in community organizing around intersectional women+’s issues.

Women’s Advocate (Part Time)
Provides support and services to women and gender non-binary individuals in life transition residing in housing at YWCA Hamilton Transitional Living.
Maintenance Technician II (Full Time)
Responsible for all routine, preventive and emergency maintenance repairs at all properties operated by YWCA Hamilton, as well as the ongoing inspection of life safety systems throughout YWCA Hamilton sites.
Women’s Advocate (Part Time, Weekends)
Provides support and services to women and gender non-binary individuals in life transition residing in housing at YWCA Hamilton Transitional Living.
Front Desk Receptionist (Relief)
Provides daily Front Desk reception, customer service, security, and membership and program sales.
Project Coordinator, Pre-Apprenticeship Program – General Machinist (Full Time)
Develops, coordinates and promotes the General Machinist Pre-Apprenticeship Program for women, trans and non-binary participants.
Project Coordinator, Pre-Apprenticeship Program – Electrician (Full Time)
Develops, coordinates and promotes the Electrician Pre-Apprenticeship Program for women, trans and non-binary participants.
Project Coordinator, Pre-Apprenticeship Program – Painter/Decorator (Full Time)
Develops, coordinates and promotes the Painter/Decorator Pre-Apprenticeship Program for women, trans and non-binary participants.
Before and After School Program Staff (Part Time)
Ensures the efficient daily operation and activity in before and after school programs, working collaboratively with the Supervisor, Children’s Programs.
Early Childhood Assistant (Relief)
Assists with the efficient daily operation and activity in an early learning and licensed child care center, working collaboratively with child care staff and the Supervisor, Children’s Programs.
