Heart & Stroke Activate is a free 6-month wellness program that will help you eat better, move more, and manage stress – with the end goal of reducing your blood pressure.

Hypertension, or high blood pressure, is the number one risk for stroke and a leading risk factor for heart disease. Without intervention, half of all pre-hypertensive people over 60 in Canada will develop high blood pressure within four years.

Qualified Activate participants receive access to Heart and Stroke’s online health platform with curated content and trackers, support from a personal health coach and Loblaw in-store dietitians, a 2-month free membership to YWCA Hamilton’s fitness centre, Fit@MacNab, and PC Optimum points to reward healthy behaviours.

On average, the first 100+ participants lowered their blood pressure by 5 units (measured in mmHg), reducing their risk of stroke and coronary heart disease. You can too!
